Peter Abbott, 70, died of heart failure on 20 May, 2009.
Peter spent his working life managing pubs across the country – including the Spiders Web in Carr Lane, Old Clee, which he ran for more than seven years with his wife Sandra.
Sandra recalled their time in the industry fondly, despite the fact the pair had to sell no less than 18 houses as they travelled the country taking on new pubs.
Peter also leaves behind his daughter Michelle, son Stephen and grandchildren, Dan, Joe and Alex.

you will be sadly missed peter, me and my husband stephen had our wedding reception at the spiders web and totally loved it there, we also had our nanna,s wake there to, what a beautiful pub the spiders is and a lovely family, you will not be forgotten, our wedding photo under the tree was at the spiders, thank you for the best wedding reception ever, xxxxxx
